Sticking My Neck Out – An Evening Meal.
August 4th, 2010 Posted in DIARY, The Other Side Of MeI’m sticking my neck out tomorrow (Thursday). Two friends coming to an evening meal and the menu I’ve planned I have never done before !! Will I face total disaster or huge success? Look a fool in front of my guests?
Starter – Onion Soup — well that should be easy enough, I’ve done it before, ah, but this is a different recipe.
Main Course - Hot Gammon with plums and redcurrant glaze
Sweet Course – Apricot and Almond Galette
It might be making your mouth water but it’s making me shake with apprehension. Wish me luck.

Wow, sorry i can’t be there! Sounds delicious. I hope it is a roaring success. Do let us know. I think you are very brave, I usually do tried and tested recipes for people, but then again, those can go wrong. we picked some small plums the other day and I am going to make some small pies with those today or tomorrow; depends how work goes. I like making pastry and I prefer baking to cooking meals. Maybe because I prefer eating all the wrong foods!!!
