Another of those beautiful Gordon Crabb covers. As good as that old master of western paintings Frederic Remington. I’ll be running a “Hoofprint” newsbrief about the Dales reprints of the the Floyd Rogers and Jim Bowden books in the next edition of the online Black Horse Extra mag. The Jessica Blair November reissues will also receive passing mention for the benefit of readers with wide-ranging tastes!

Hi, Keith.
Good to hear from you.Gordon Crabb certainly stands out. I hope he will be doing the covers of 12 more Westerns I have sold to Magna for Large Print publication. He has an interesting Website.
I look forward to seeing the “Hoofprint” Thanks for the coverage. When is the next edition due?

Yes, great cover but I still prefer to see more brushstrokes that bring life to the picture and that is why I prefer his earlier work. Publishers seem to want to lose their identity behind a set formula for covers instead of looking at each book individually these days; I expect it is a matter of cost.
